Brother's With No Game: Web Series Teasers

As much as I love to talk and stock up on beauty, sometimes it can get very monotonous and I need something that is in no way beauty related to make me giggle and add something fresh to my newsfeed.

Brother's With No Game is a relationship and lifestyle blog run by 4 guys who discuss, deliberate and dissect thoughts and topics ranging from Family, to Dating & Relationships to How to spot a minor. What I love about this blog is just how flipping FUNNY these guys are! BWNG is a very eccentric and eclectic mixture and plus they tend to come to the same conclusions I do, so it's all love.

Anyway moving on to the main point of this post. BWNG are launching a web series which officially premieres on the 11th of June and to get the buzz going, they released a set of teasers featuring the brothers (which by the way are freaking hilarious)

So stay tuned and subscribe to their YouTube channel

Review: MAC Fashion Set - Spice Lipglass

Earlier this month MAC introduced the ‘Fashion Sets’ which are sets of a lipstick, lip-glass and lip liner, colour-based on the six most popular shades of a particular region. For the UK, it was Girl About Town, Impassioned, Rebel, Morange and Spice.

Now before you get all happy and think MAC have finally thrown its faithful users a bone and all products in the set are sold separately
After seeing a swatch the Spice Set on Gulnit’s blog, I knew I wanted to get something from that set in my collection and after a pretty lousy day last week (Click here to read all about it; blog rant style) which resulted in a mini MAC Haul, I decided on the Spice Lip-glass.
Since I’ve been getting more into the groove of lip-gloss, I love the that I now have a nude lip-glass for the lazy days when I’m on the train and can’t be bothered to dive into my makeup case looking for a mirror.
On my darker skin (I’m NW45 btw) Spice comes out a bit on the pinky side of nude, which is pretty much how I like my nude to be honest (No Beiges allowed!!). I think this looks so innocent. I know it might sound a bit odd to call a lipgloss shade innocent but I really think it brings out the girlie-ness in me.
I think I might get the rest of the set before the end of the month . . . . and maybe the Rebel Lipliner

As this is a Limited Collection from MAC if you re thinking of splashing out on one of these sets I suggest you make up your mind before it runs out. Visit your local/favorite MAC store or go online.

Tweezerman's Ombre Hot for Dots Itty Bitty Match Box

So there I am, typing semi-frantically at my keyboard when the horrendous happened  . . . My Nail BROKE!!!!

Now thankfully it wasn’t my Nazila Nail Glitz that snapped because this would be a full blown twitter lament, but my actual; home-grown, totally organic nails.

Now I don’t know what the Makeup gods are playing at but they must be having a bit of a giggle seated in a random Starbucks somewhere because just at that moment Tweezerman’s 2012 Special Edition nail files popped up in front of my eyes.
The Ittybitty Matchbox are actually the cutest and I can’t stop gushing over the idea, I mean come on, who thinks of putting nail files into a matchbox packaging?? The Miniature version of their award winning Slant tweezers look so very colourful and fun, I just want to play with them
Available in 3 colour, these pintsize essentials are perfect for your handbag or in my case, my work desk. Tweerzerman have adopted a popular fashion (and hair) trend and produced this colourful, mini, beauties nail files and tweezers.

*Sigh*

I would love to be staring at these babies right this moment, instead of a chipped nail.

A Musical Evening with Ghost

*Hand on my heart*

I have never seen the movie Ghost before (maybe because when it first came out, a rattle and a bottle of milk would have been the centre of my universe) but judging from the twitter response I got when I announced this on Friday Afternoon . . . That’s not much of an excuse.

 Embarrassing much??!!

When I won ticket to see Ghost the Musical courtesy of Nazila Love Glamour and Amazing PR. I had absolutely no clue that it was even based on a film; I had seen the posters and thought that it looked really interesting, plus I’m a sucker for a musical.

So on Friday (being dragged along by my overly excited Mummy), We arrive at the Piccadilly Theatre in Central London, where we were greeted by the lovely Amazing PR team who gave us our Ghost the Musical tickets and drinks voucher for a very delicious and theme appropriate Godminster’s Aromatic Garden Cocktail and off we trotted to the American Airlines Bar to schmooze it up with the other bloggers and get my nails Nazilla  Love Glamour’ed up.

Loved by Celebrities and Lovers of the innovative, Nazila Love Glamour joined forces with one of the West End’s hottest shows to bring out a limited edition 3D Ghost Inspired designs. I couldn’t get a clear enough picture of my Ghost inspired Nail Glitz on the day but once I track down my picture on Amazing PR’s Pinterest board I will definitely do a quick update to this post. I am sooooo in love with my Nazilla Love Glamour Nail glitz at the moment and I can’t even describe it in words (I could describe it in lots of squeals, jumping and nail poses though). I will be doing a review on these sometime this week so stick around for that.
This picture is of their GB rocks nails collection which is perfect for the coming Jubilee Celebration, which btw I’ve already mentally added to my ‘I want list’. Their collections start from £14.99 to £29.99 RRP.
With a London cast led by Siobhan Dillon and Mark Evans, Matthew Warchus’ stage musical version of the Academy Award® winning film Ghost originally opened at the Piccadilly Theatre in 2011. Now in its second year at the Piccadilly Theatre, Ghost The Musical has been seen by over 430,000 people in the UK.  For anyone who has watched ghost before, you might already know what the musical is about but for those who have never watched it before, Sam (Mark Evans) is trapped as a ghost trying to communicate with his girlfriend Molly (Siobhan Dillon) through a fake psychic in the hope of saving her from his murderer.

And let me just say. . . .It is WOOOW!!!

The lighting!! The costumes!!! The sets!!! THE SINGING!!!! ODI MAE!!!!!
 All so amazing!!!
If the Cocktails, Nails and Musical wasn’t even enough to christen a great Friday night, we then got to go onstage and take a group pic with the cast!!!
Overall it was a great night and even though I did have a slight allergic reaction to the cocktail, I LOVED it.
Everything was sooo mesmerising and now I actually have to see the original film just so I can compare the musical and the film.

Review: YSL Rouge Volupte in shade 25 - Soft Beige

I have this weird unwritten and mental beauty rule when it comes to trying experimenting with new brands.

Always buy the nude lipsticks!!!!

For this reason I seem to have a very large (and widely unused) collection on nude lipsticks, but out of those lipsticks there are a few that I always use and repurchase when I hit the bottom of the lipstick barrel.
Gold Stemmed with an embellished circular ring depicting the lipstick shade inside, The packaging for  the YSL Rouge Volupte  Lipsticks are visually breathtaking and for £23.50 a pop, they damn well should be. The best way to describe its lipstick formula is creamy sssmmmmmooooottttthhhh. The first thing you notice when you try on the rouge volupte lipsticks is just how hydrating they feel on the lips.
The only negative thing I can say about this lipstick is that it really is not the longest wearing lipstick out there and I find that it only last a few hours at a time but those few hours feel like a pigmented and hydrated Caribbean holiday, so I'm still happy.
YSL’s Rouge Volupte Lipstick in shade 25 has got to be one of the most perfect nude pinky brown lipstick shades for ladies with darker skin and I thought it was about time it received some blog love from me because 1) I just repurchased it so it looks all nice and shiny rather than scratched from too much love and 2) It’s one of the prizes up for grabs in my May Giveaway so I thought you have entered the competition and were thinking of a shade to get, then here’s one of my recommendations.

Want to Combat A Bad Day? Add A Bit Of Chestnut, Spice and Spite.

You know you’ve had a bad day when you have the compulsion to throw an iPhone (with hopefully pinpoint accuracy) at the back of a stranger’s head.

Honestly though, they would have deserved it.

In their haste to get onto their train, this person bumped into me HARD and sent my iPhone sprawling to its concrete demise, leaving only a disfigured plastic and technological mesh

AKA

Someone barged into me at London Bridge and smashed my iPhone without saying sorry. I know I really could have just started off the post like this but I was really getting into the whole melodramatic storytelling.

Normally this would have pissed me off and I would have gotten over it but after a red pen exploded onto my favourite white cardigan (which fyi I only bought 2 weeks ago), I spilt tea all over desk at work, my camera’s SD card stopped working so I now have to buy a new one, some silly person smashed my iPhone and then I almost missed my 1st driving lesson in 3 years because some Nigerian lady decided to have an argument with the bus driver because she didn’t have enough money on her oyster card and thought haggling with the bus driver will get her to her destination . . . All in one day . . . Beauty Retail is in need.
Presenting a small effort to cheer myself up. MAC’s Lipgloss in Spice and Spite and MAC’s Lipliner in Chestnut.

I know that I might be a slave to consumerism for cheering myself up with lipgloss but lets be honest with a day this bad, a mini nude lipgloss haul gives me something positive to fuss over rather than the fact that I can no longer, tweet, instagram, listen to music or read iBooks for 2 weeks.

Be a Cannes Goddess with Mary Kay

One of the world's largest direct sellers of skin care and colour cosmetics; Mary Kay Cosmetics is setting off to Cannes Film Festival on the 21st May 2012 where they will be a Kep Launch Party Sponsor for Ronan Keating’s very first film, Goddess, starring Laura Michelle Kelly.

The story features a young English mum, Elspeth Dickens (Laura Michelle Kelly), who is stuck in a remote farmhouse in southern Australia with her energetic twin toddlers whilst her marine scientist husband, James (Ronan Keating), is away saving whales in the Antarctic. Lonely and isolated, she installs a webcam over her kitchen sink and sings her funny little songs about domestic drudgery to the worldwide web. But when she becomes an Internet sensation, Elspeth has to choose between fame and family – or risk losing it all.

Both Ronan Keating and Laura Michelle Kelly are travelling to Cannes to present the film on May 21st – a photo call with the film’s stars will be followed by a unique ‘Yummy Mummy’ parade along Cannes’ most famous boulevard (La Croisette), featuring ladies in vibrant costumes from the film and glamorously groomed with make-up courtesy of Mary Kay, and in true Epiphannie fashion, i am going to try and recreate their looks.

Not because I have to or because I'm getting paid to or sponsored (but hey if they were willing, I'm over here *waves frantically*)

Laura Michelle Kelly will be using Mary Kay’s new Spring colours and classics at all her official events including the photo call, launch party and press interviews at Cannes so it's going to be about vibrant eyes, a fresh face and insanely sultry eyes next week.
You have been warned!!

Mary Kay will be tweeting the looks, tricks and tips from their top on-site make up artist, as well as offering the chance to win some of their products including Lash Love Mascara and Café au Lait NouriShine Plus™ Lip Gloss in online competitions, so if you are already bored of waiting for my giveaway to end. Review: Biore's Make-up Removal Wipes*

I'm forgetful.

I know this and I accept this about myself

*Hugs Self*.

This will probably sound really bad coming from me as I do know what doing this does to my skin but I always find myself falling asleep with my makeup on. I know it's bad and the makeup gods would smite me on the spot for this but when it comes to taking off my makeup at night, I tend to forget.

That's why when it comes to taking off my makeup at night, it needs to be done quickly. I need to know that whatever I'm using works quickly and will take off a day's worth of mascara and black eyeliner.

While I do love my Garnier Cleansing milk, it does more hydrating that removal and let's face it, your face isn't really clean unless you get all you rmakeup off, otherwise it's a half-hearted effort.
Newly re-packaged, Biore's Makeup Removing wipes are a highstreet dermatologically tested and ophthalmologist tested solution to instantly and effectively remove the most stubborn parts of your makeup routine.
What really won me over with these wipes (apart from the fact that they are hypo-allergic)  is that they are quick, affordable (£1.99 people) and don't dry out my skin, however and I do find this a bit odd . . . it seems to only take off certain brands of waterproof mascara.
As many beauty hoarders, I tend to switch up the products day to day. I found that the Biore wipes; 4 out of 5 times, took off all my eyeliner and mascara and scrubbed my face clean but once . . it didn't. I still had  a bit of mascara and lash glue residue stuck to my lashes.

I don't know what happened. I'm assuming that the mascara formula I used on the day, just wanted to be stubborn and deny the influence of my cleansing wipes but on the whole these wipes are amazing and better still, 25 wipes come in a pack.
How do you take off your makeup at night? So you tend to pamper yourself or rather just get it over with?

*Disclaimer:- I did not purchase this product. It was either given to me to review or for my own personal enjoyment*

Review: MAC Lipstick in Lickable

MAC Lipstick is the newest pink in my lipstick collection, bring my bright pink lipsticks to a confusing four.
When the heck did I buy so many? And more important how did I get suckered in to buying so many???

Lickable is a hot and very bold fuschia pink-berry colour with a blue undertone that would be great for summer.

It's a cremesheen so expect this lipstick to have great wearability, a creamy formula, a great colour payoff and the infamous MAC lipstick vanilla smell.
Now while it does have a great colour pay off when built up, this lipstick comes off as semi-opaque, so depending on your preference that could be what yo umight be looking for or a deal breaker
Now while I'm still in a state of confusion on why I own so many bright lipstick, I just have to say that I  love the name of the shade . . . say it slowly with me lliiiiicccckkkkaaaabbbllllleeeeeee looool
I would love to say I preferring for the summer months and that why I own this . . but we all know it was an impulse buy.

What's been your latest impulse buy?? Or better yet what do you think is an awesome lipstick for summer so I can add this to my mental impulse buy checklist??

Don't forget I have a May birthday giveaway running at the moment, so while you're scooping this post, ENTER!!!!!
